. Part of the book series (LNEE, volume 472) Abstract A rectangular probe feed microstrip patch antenna is simulated and presented. The designed antenna operates at the frequency band 2.45 GHz (Wi-Fi) and 4.9 GHz (WLAN). This paper presents a rectangular patch of 28.28 mm × 28.28 mm which is placed on the substrate of 50 mm × 50 mm. The position of the probe is optimized to achieve dual-band characteristics. This paper also presents a method to design an energy harvesting device depending on the type of energy available (Wi-Fi and WLAN) for low consumption electrical devices.

Work the modeling of microstrip patch antenna for ISM band is designed which is widely use for cordless phone, Bluetooth devices, NFC devices and wireless computer networks, this design is simulated in HFSS 11. MICROSTRIP PATCH ANTENNA Microstrip antennas are one of the most widely used type of antenna. Microstrip Patch Antennas (or simply patch antenna) are increasingly useful because the antenna is printed directly onto a circuit board. Additional benefits of patch antennas is that they are easily fabricated making them cost effective. Their low profile design, often square or rectangular, allows them to be mounted to flat surfaces.
It's been some time since my last uploaded video. So, in this video, I'm going to show you how to design rectangular microstrip patch antenna. I'm starting with the calculation of design parameter using MATLAB. The equations are based on Antenna Theory book (Constantine Balanis) Chapter 14. I put the script on my blog (blog.ub.ac.id/meeristika) Then, input the calculated parameter to CST Microwave Studio. Please refer to tensorbundle channel, especially this video to get better understanding about rectangular microstrip patch antenna on CST. I will upload the second part of the video soon.
In the mean time, see you:) P.S: Comments are appreciated and please subscribe!
